Our Blessed LORD is Pro-Life, and I Can Prove It

Friends, God is pro-life, and I can prove it. If you choose not to believe the Bible verses that I’m going to quote in this blog, then don’t be shocked when our LORD doesn’t believe in you when you testify before Him about your wretched unbelieving life at the Judgment.
Okay, here we go:
In Psalm 139:11-18, the Word of God declares the following:
“If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me,
and the light around me will be night’ —
even the darkness is not dark to You.
The night shines like the day;
darkness and light are alike to You.
For it was You who created my inward parts;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will praise You
because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,
and I know this very well.
My bones were not hidden from You
when I was made in secret,
when I was formed in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw me when I was formless;
all my days were written in Your book and planned
before a single one of them began.
God, how difficult Your thoughts are
for me to comprehend;
how vast their sum is!
If I counted them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand;
when I wake up, I am still with You.” (Holman Christian Standard Bible [HCSB] version of the Holy Scriptures)
Then, in Luke 1:39-45, the Holy Scriptures record the following:
“In those days Mary set out and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judah where she entered Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped inside her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she exclaimed with a loud cry:
‘You are the most blessed of women,
and your child will be blessed!
How could this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For you see, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy inside me! She who has believed is blessed because what was spoken to her by the Lord will be fulfilled!’” (HCSB version of the Holy Bible)
In Psalm 127:3-5, the Scriptures teach this about the importance of children:
“Sons are indeed a heritage from the LORD,
children, a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the sons born in one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has filled his quiver with them.
Such men will never be put to shame
when they speak with their enemies at the city gate.” (from the HCSB version of the Bible)
And, finally, from Matthew 19:13-15, our LORD Jesus schools us on being childlike and the importance of children:
“Then children were brought to Him so He might put His hands on them and pray. But the disciples rebuked them. Then Jesus said, ‘Leave the children alone, and don’t try to keep them from coming to Me, because the kingdom of heaven is made up of people like this.’ After putting His hands on them, He went on from there.” (from the HCBS version of the Holy Bible)
Now, having read all of those verses, is a child a life or a choice? Notice my terminology here. Many would say that women should have the choice to abort their child or to choose life. I would that is a correct assertion, if you do not believe in the Word of God, and not many people do. For the Believer in Christ, for women who love God and their children, abortion is not an option. So, to answer the question of choice, yes, non-believers have every right to kill their unborn children because they have a right to control their own bodies.
For the Christian, though, and I’m only speaking to Christians here, our Blessed LORD does not want you to abort your child. That life in you has been created by God. The Life that God has created, no one has a right to destroy.
For the non-believer, it is different. If you believe that your rights trump the baby’s rights, then you have the apparent “right” to kill your child. However, our LORD reserves the right to judge you at the end of time for your crimes against humanity.
This is not me speaking here, by the way. That is the conclusion I draw from the Bible passages above. If you choose not to believe what God says about Life, then you don’t have a problem with me; you have a problem with Almighty God. If our enemy, the devil, the most powerful arch-angel ever created is going to lose against God, what chance do you have? Think long and hard about this.
Amen, my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus.
